Photographs taken at the annual 'Gathering' at Sandtoft trolleybus museum near Doncaster. This years event was not as good as previous events, the bus rally was smaller and held at a different site and trolleybuses not in use remained locked away in the sheds.

Pictures of former Bexleybus Leyland Titan 84 - T888 which was being used on a Bexleybus running day on former Bexleybus routes in SE London. These pictures show the bus on routes 96, 99 & 229. Pictures during the 2008 heritage routes running day which due to an event taking place in Trafalgar Square was mainly based route 15. Also included are pictures taken in Bow Garage before the event. The following day, 30/6/08, T1 worked a final journey with ELBG on route 8 to Holborn where it was handed over to is new owner.

On the afternoon of Sunday 22 June 2008 ELBG Leyland Titan T1 was used in service on Romford area routes 86, 103 & 174 as a final chance before the London LEZ prohibits T1 from entering London. Before this in the morning the bus was posed for photographs along the various routes it operated when new at Hornchurch Garage.

A collection of pictures, mostly of trams taken in Melbourne in February/March 2008. Melbourne is unusual in that it still runs a fleet of several hundred trams and buses are relatively scarce.

16 Jan 2008 was the 20th anniversary of the start of Bexleybus, a low cost unit of London Buses which ran LRT tendered routes in the Bexley & Woolwich areas. Bexleybus operated a mix of vehicle types, initially in a Blue/cream livery with seperate fleet numbers but later in standard red.

East London Bus Groups Waterden Road Garage (WA) closed on 28 December 2007 as a result of 2012 Olympic development work with buses and staff were relocated to a site in Rainham. This collection looks at the various buses the garage played host to.

Pictures taken during a visit to the East London Bus Group depot in Rainham, Essex which was being used by Ensignbus to store sales buses. The yard contained a variety of vehicles including former London Buses, Stagecoach Buses and a number of former Dublin Bus Leyland Olympians.

On 28 April 2007 Chase Bus Services ran a Leyland National farewell day to mark the end of National operation as the company was integrated into Arriva Midlands. The event included visits to both the Chase & Arriva Cannock depots. Also incuded are pictures of Travel West Midlands Buses

A collection of pictures taken in Ilford. I had hoped for some 'snowy' shots following overnight snow but most of it had melted by the time I was able to get out.

East London sold RML2665 to Ensignbus in Feb 2007. A last day was arranged with the bus working an early journey on route 25 from Bow to Aldgate then spending the day on heritage route 15. RML2665's last trip was extended from Tower Hill to Blackwall Stn. Ensignbus RT1431 also operated three journeys on heritage route 15.

East London Coaches closed on Friday 2 February 2007. The following day all it's vehicles except 16001 which could not be moved were lined up at Waterden Road Garage for photos. After this the vehicles departed to Ensignbus to await new owners.

East London Coaches was the coaching and private hire operation of East London/Stagecoach London but was closed down at the beginning of February 2007. This collection shows the variety of vehicles that were operated by this interesting operation.

A few pictures taken while passing Wilts & Dorest's Lymington Depot contained several Optare Spectra's and Bristol VR's.

A couple of trips to Stratford Bus Station including East London's 18500 on 10/12/06 which was operating specially on route 158 for one day only.

As a 'one off' special East London's 18500, 'Spirit of London' operated on Bow Garage's route 8 after appearances on routes 15 & 277. I spent the day taking pictures in Central London catching up with 18500 several times.

On 12 August 2006 we took the opportunity to line up all three of the Stagecoach London Mercedes Benz Citaro artics that carried overall adverts in Waterden Road Garage. As 23033 & 23034 were due to be repainted red shortly after this was the first time and last time that all three had been lined up together.

Stagecoach East Kent held there annual Herne Bay depot open day on Sunday 6 August 2006. This event was more significant than previously as it commemorated East Kent's 90th anniversary.

A selection of pictures taken while travelling in York (10/7/06) and Manchester (13/7/06).

In June 2006 Stagecoach announced they were selling their London operation to an Australian Bank. Staff were instructed to remove Stagecoach logos immeadiately so I made a trip into central London to catch some buses before their logos were removed.

On Sunday 4 June 2006 an Aldershot & District vintage bus running day was held in Aldershot based on the station car park. Stagecoach joined in by holding an open day at their depot in Hallimote Road.

Tanat Valley are a bus/coach operator based near Oswestry in Shropshire. The pictures below show a selection of vehicles from this interesting fleet at their home depot.

Stagecoach London lost route 67 to First in the TfL tendering programme. To mark their last day RM2060 performed three trips on the route during the evening peak. This was also RM2060s debut in passenger service with Stagecoach London, being the last of the 10 TfL owned 'heritage buses' to be restored.

On 27 April 2006 a press launch was held at Hyde Park Corner to launch London's NSPCC liveried buses. Buses present were Stagecoach London 18265, Arriva London DW85 & Metroline VP535.

On Sunday 16 April 2006 Stagecoach London's Waterden Road garage opened its doors to allow enthusiasts to see and photograph three Routemasters that had been prepared for export to Canada. Also present were the buses taking part in the Hackney Marshes running day later that day.

Stagecoach London 18500 is an Alexander Dennis Enviro 400 purchased as a replacement for the Trident 17758 which was destroyed in the London bombings. It is seen here in Waterden Road Garage and at Wisley Airfield, Weybridge Station and Cobham Bus Museum during the annual open day.

On Saturday 4 February 2006 Stagecoach Merseyside held a small event to mark the withdrawl of their last Leyland Titans. A small vehicle gathering took place in the depot during the morning then the remaining serviceable Titans left in convoy for a farewell tour over former Titan routes. Titan T1 from Stagecoach London attended and led the tour.

On Sunday 11 September the Sheffield Bus Museum held its annual open day and bus rally near the Meadowhall shopping centre. Special bus services operated by a mix of modern and vintage vehicles linked both sites and the city centre.

The Scottish Vintage Bus Museum held its annual open weekend on 20/21 August 2005. I attended on the Sunday. I highly recommend this event.

A day out in Blackpool, plenty of buses and trams and amazingly for England in July the sun came out!

The Scania Omnicity articulated demonstrator was loaned to Stagecoach London in June/July 2005. It first appeared at Waterden Road Garage open day and was then used on route 25 between Ilford & Oxford Circus

On Saturday 25 June 2005 Stagecoach London's Waterden Road garage in Hackney held an open day to commemorate its first anniversary.

During the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway 2005 Diesel Gala preserved West Yorkshire Leyland National 1002 was used to operate a free supplimentary service.

On 31 April, 1 & 2 May 2005 the Ffestiniog Railway in North Wales held its Ffestiniog Ffifty gala. During the gala a free bus service was provided between Minffordd and Porthmadog. Preserved Routemaster RML2418 and preserved Bournemouth Leyland Fleetline 132 were used with Coastal Liner Metrobus WYW65T used when it rained.

Friday 1 April 2005 was the final day of Routemaster operation on Arriva's route 19. As is customary serveral special guest vehicles operated on the route alongside the usual Arriva buses.

Photographs of special Routemaster operations in East London on routes 58, 97, 123 & 308 which were organized by First London (27/2/05) and Stagecoach London (4/3/05) to mark changes to routings and operators of the routes involved.

The Stagecoach Designline Electric Bus, 80009, was loaned to Stagecoach London in February 2005 and spent a week operating from Waterden Road Garage on route 276. It also visited the Stagecoach London head office in Ilford.

London Central's route 36 was converted from Routemaster operation to Volvo B7 operation on 29 January 2005. The previous day saw several special vehicles running on the route to mark the event.

During December the Volvo / Hispano articulated demonstrator bus FJ53LZX was loaned to Stagecoach London used briefly on route 25. I photographed the bus at Oxford Circus

A brief stop in Glasgow between trains allowed me to photograph a few members of the First Glasgow sightseeing fleet including some Routemasters that had transferred in from First London.

Stagecoach East Kent held their annual open day at Herne Bay Depot on Sunday 10 August 2003. The depot was filled with visiting vehicles while the depot's allocation of service buses was parked in a nearby car park.

During June 2002 Chatham Historic Dockyard held one of its sucessful 'Navy Days' events. Several bus services were provided linking the various events and car parks using a mixture of preserved and company vehicles.

During 1994/1995 the North London line between Stratford and North Woolwich was closed for engineering work. Kentish Bus operated an all stations replacement service lettered NLA with former Boro'line Maidstone Leyland Lynx buses.

From 3 to 21 August 1992 brand new Hong Kong Citybus Olympian 331 was loaned to Selkent before being shipped to Hong Kong and operated on route 180 from Plumstead Garage.
